Swede decided upon his passion for music at the age of eight when he saw Bugs Bunny perform the Hungarian Rhapsody. He studied piano and voice as a child and, at age 16, switched instruments when his father performed Malagena on the guitar!Swede has studied under several master teachers and composers. He has over 10 years of performance experience and a Bachelors in Guitar Performance from Arizona State University, with special interests in theater and composition.Swede is a dynamic music instructor with well over 10 years of teaching expreience, and he currently teaches for the Utah Music Conservatory in Park City, as well as at Acoustic Music in Salt Lake City.
Swede is pursuing a Masters, combining his love of theater, performance and composition, at the University of Utah.
Swede's partner, Rachel Hart, the H[e]art in SwedeHart, is a teacher and artist who creates movies and multimedia that complement Swede's compositions and plays, as well as costumes and set decor. She coordinates and schedules special events such as weddings, performances, parties, holidays, or any other event that calls for the sophistication and flare of live music.
